IT Europa - November 18, 2009
Number one software engineering outsourcing services provider in central and eastern Europe, EPAM Systems, has appointed former head of SAP AG in the CIS and the Baltics, Aleksey Shlikov, Senior VP of its SAP division.
Shlykov will work to consolidate EPAM's technological and consulting expertise on SAP, as well as develop and implement different SAP's business units to ensure a closer interaction between them. This should enable the company to grow its SAP offer beyond the traditional ERP systems - with portal solutions, data warehousing, decision support systems and tools for strategic management based on SAP NetWeaver, SAP BI-BW and SAP BOBJ.
Before managing the SAP AG Mission in the CIS and the Baltic states from 2002 to 2007, Shlykov worked at developing and implementing business applications for 15 years, and then led the Oracle Global Energy CIS from 1992 to 2000.
In addition to this new asset for the company, EPAM has announced its intention to provide integration services using the customers' existing IT infrastructures.
And finally EPAM plans to offer SAP solutions in Eastern Europe and globally in the industries where so far it has only been presented as a developer of custom software.
