Looking for Solution Architect with search optimization expertise using Endeca and with experience implementing best practices, preferably industry-specific to retail e-commerce.


  • Guide project teams on industry best practices for optimizing search capabilities and results using the out-of-the-box Endeca software;
  • Capable to define the implementation strategy using our current version of Endeca without customized development;
  • Help define the correct algorithms for improving the search experience for Sephora customers;
  • Understand the product over time - new features and capabilities that have been added in subsequent versions that may be of use to us in a future roadmap;
  • Help review existing business processes and refine or define new processes where appropriate;
  • Steer us away from an implementation that would be hard to maintain or would not be flexible enough to allow us to evolve it in response to market changes or other business drivers.


  • Endeca expertise;
  • Knows the features and functions in the native Endeca application so that we can be educated on capabilities we have not used/touched due to lack of awareness of their existence or of how they can help us reach our goal;
  • Has a basic understanding of Analytics from Endeca, and ideally also a basic understanding of Adobe Analytics Reporting;
  • Has a deep understanding of Endeca queries;
  • Has applicable experience with A/B testing best practices in Endeca;
  • Can help the team to determine things like:
    • Is it better to redirect to category or just do search;
    • Is it better to redirect to brand or just do search;
    • Explain why one would be better than the other.
  • Has a general understanding and experience with Oracle Commerce Platform.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of / experience with multilingual search.
