Currently we are looking for an Agile Coach for our Zurich office to make the team even stronger.
Agile coaching aims to enable people and teams to achieve their goals in an efficient way using various kind of agile techniques and tricks while still being pragmatic. Being an Agile Coach is different from any other roles on the project as the person must grow senses on multiple levels (individuals, team, and organization). You need to be able to focus on the big picture and on the details too but from a different perspective (efficiency, agility). As a L3 Agile Coach you will work together with a team (product owner, scrum master or growth facilitator and the delivery people) to help them grow in agility. You will be measuring the health of the team by observation, active listening, and assessments. As a coach you need to be able to use those techniques (powerful questions, leading by example, being objective, etc.) that let the team figure out the way for improvement. Your goal is to take the team to the level where they can deal with their challenges without your help. What you need to focus on is the team's culture, foundation, performance, clarity and leadership. These are the dimensions where you need to look up possible gaps, bottlenecks, wastes that need to be addressed. In order to have the picture you need to attend, observe and sometimes facilitate the rituals, be present in the team and be available to them. Building working relationship and trust is must as you need to be able to guide individuals too in their personal development that can enhance the team. Being here and there is not enough. You need to be transparent to the people you are working with by using information radiators and creating coaching artifacts (like assessments, growth backlog, personal Kanban board, etc.) When it is necessary, you will conduct trainings to educate colleagues. It all depends on the context, usually there are no silver bullets.
Be responsible for supporting our client company’s digitization projects;
Help the project members to understand Agile methodologies, and able to adopt it to the team needs;
Take over the client company’s interpretation of Agile and able to help the people, teams to apply it.
Professional Agile coach familiar with SAFe;
At least 5 years hands-on experience with Agile projects (Scrum, Kanban etc.);
At least 2 years of hands-on Agile-at-scale experience (Scrum-of-scrums, SAFe, LESS);
Ability to oversee multiple projects and coach 3-6 teams of 5-20 people on different level of Agile adaptation;
Great communication skills and flexibility is a must, as he/she has to liaise not only with the IT organization but also the business organization;
Ability to communicate not only with the team members and hands-on topics but also has to be able to share vision strategy with ED level people;
Fluent German and English are necessary.
