DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Team Leader with FIX Protocol for our Malaga office to make the team even stronger.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the local team:
    • Monitor team productivity, coordinate team workload with onshore team lead;
    • Enforce policies, procedures and their continuous improvement for on-boarding and supporting of trading connections;
    • Communicate with customer on daily basis, provide daily and weekly transparency.
  • Perform on-boarding new FIX connections to customer’s trading system:
    • Acquire all technical documentation from counterparties (brokers, exchanges, etc.) and perform gap analysis;
    • Produce technical FIX specification for internal/external teams to implement the connection, perform acceptance testing after;
    • Coordinate with networking team and counterparties establishing the physical connectivity for both test and production connections;
    • Perform certification testing with counterparties;
    • Manage final release of the connection into production;
    • Participate in progressive automation of connections certification and egression tests.
  • Support existing connections:
    • Proactively monitor/get from counterparties updated specifications and re-certify connections as needed;
    • Respond to connectivity-related tickets from end-users (production and testing environments);
    • Escalation point in troubleshooting connectivity issues (both logical and physical) in production and test environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in BA or QA role in that area (capital markets, trading, FIX protocol);
  • 3+ years of experience leading the team of 3+ people, history of successfully delivered projects in the role of team leader;
  • Practical experience of FIX protocol (order flow is a must);
  • Experience in performing gap analysis in the context of FIX specifications and producing technical specifications for FIX connectivity implementation;
  • Hands-on skills of FIX logs analysis and troubleshooting;
  • Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills in network connectivity and Linux based applications;
  • SDLC understanding and experience working in Scrum;
  • DevOps mentality and scripting skills in Bash or Python;
  • Experience in working directly with end customers/business and vendors, brokers, exchanges, production support and other teams.
