What You’ll Do

  • Leads development, providing hands on technical guidance and support to the team, managing the delivery of architectural POCs;
  • Provide thought leadership to drive successful project delivery through quality architectural standards;
  • Lead technical presales activities, participate in customer’s workshops and presentations, developing proposals for implementation and design of scalable big data architecture;
  • Design, implement, and deploy high-performance, custom applications;
  • Define common business and development processes, platform and tools usage for data acquisition, storage, transformation, and analysis;
  • Review and audit of the existing solution, design and system architecture;
  • Perform profiling, identify gaps in delivery, troubleshoot issues and communicate effectively to resolution for high quality delivery;
  • Create technical documentation;
  • Mentor and grow other SAs providing guidance and leadership.

What You Have

  • Prior large-scale implementation experience with clients required with the ability to lead team through architectural designs, effectively communicating complex solutions through delivery;
  • Experience executing major Data Lake migrations utilizing Big Data technologies and frameworks including but not limited to Hadoop, Hive, Sqoop, etc;
  • Hands on experience with ETL tools like Diyotta, Informatica, SSIS, Data Stage or similar;
  • Knowledge and experience with Big Data solutions developed in large cloud computing infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform;
  • Experience delivering solutions based on Hortonworks Data Platform, Cloudera Distribution for Hadoop or similar;
  • Technical team leading and team management experience, with ability to mentor, guide and grow;
  • Strong experience with full life cycle of agile software development processes, approaches and methods with a focus on CI/CD;
  • Practical expertise in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems analysis;
  • Expertise in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design;
  • Fluent verbal and written English.
