Currently we are looking for an energetic Director, Experience Design to make the team even stronger.

ABOUT PROJECT


Define and drive the future of EPAM’s Strategy and Consulting practice in Hong Kong and China.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of User Experience, Service and Visual designers across Hong Kong and China offices on web, mobile, social, tablet and physical client initiatives;
  • Oversee and drive team engagement through research, business strategy development, concepting, product definition, design and delivery. Collaborate with other members of EPAM delivery teams - globally;
  • Be custodian of the strategy and experience design culture in the Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai studios. Collaborate and align with senior Experience Designers globally Tirelessly push the team to deliver amazing experiences that meet the core needs of our clients’ customers and drive meaningful business results;
  • Partner with current and potential clients – help them articulate how digital and experience design can transform their business. Challenge their requirements when needed and create the best possible business outcomes;
  • Globally evangelize the value of strategy and experience consulting internally across all of EPAMs multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Attract and retain the best possible strategy and experience consulting talent in Asia.

Requirements

  • Impressive track record of creating exceptional digital products and experiences at large-scale;
  • 10+ years of leading teams of designers, researchers and collaborating with delivery teams and managing stakeholders – either as a consultant or as an internal product designer;
  • Track record of growing meaningful work on existing accounts and/or being part of business development teams that have won new work;
  • Bias to action – an innate desire to get stuff done and keep things moving along, even without all the information;
  • Collaborative mindset – bringing in the right people at the right time. No lone wolf, hero designers;
  • Open to feedback and having hard conversations when needed;
  • High-energy, persuasive communicator – both in written and spoken. Track-record of changing mindsets and exciting others with your vision and design;
  • Must be fluent with written and spoken English. Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is highly desirable.
