DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a .NET Software Engineer for our Prague office to make the team even stronger.

ABOUT PROJECT


Our client is an investment bank which provides large corporate, government and institutional clients with a full spectrum of solutions to their strategic advisory, financing and risk management needs.

The unit is responsible for balance sheet optimization through loan lifecycle management which includes origination, economic funding, credit hedging and structuring.

Portfolio Distribution Platform (a single web platform leveraging strategic data sources):
- Create a technology solution which fits the new CIB organization;
- Achieve economy of scale to deliver new structuring transactions with robustness around data integrity;
- Reduce BAU cost of supporting multiple legacy applications;
- Improve performance to modern standards;
- Improve data accuracy such as RWA reporting (dependent on strategic initiatives upstream)

Project technologies and tools

  • ASP.NET, Angular 4-6, SQL, Docker, TeamCity, Git, MongoDB.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design and implement assigned development tasks;
  • Contribute to overall application architecture;
  • Agree specifications with end-users;
  • Continuously work on system improvements;
  • Help with onboarding of applications onto the platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a scientific discipline in a top university;
  • Strong experience with Agile development using C#/.NET 4.5+, Web API, SQL, multithreading;
  • Experience producing SOLID code with excellent unit test coverage;
  • Experience recognizing, selecting and applying appropriate design patterns, frameworks according to business benefit, maintainability and delivery priorities and constrains;
  • OOP basics:
    • Polymorphism;
    • SOLID principles;
    • Design patterns.
  • .NET theory:
    • Value vs reference types (boxing/unboxing);
    • Access modifiers;
    • Implementation and interface inheritance;
    • Generic classes and structs;
    • Operators;
    • Delegates, lambda-expressions, closures;
    • Events;
    • Garbage collection;
    • Data structures;
    • LINQ;
    • Exception handling (throw/throw new);
    • Multithreading;
    • Unit testing.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of PnL principals – e.g. first order Taylor expansion predicts for Delta/Vega etc;
  • Strong understanding of FI derivatives with an understanding of derivative pricing and risk methodologies;
  • Programming experience with an object orientated programming language (C# in particular);
  • Advanced experience with complex XML manipulation (XPath/XSLTs), SQL, Windows PowerShell/Batch scripting.
