Currently we are looking for a Lead Enterprise Java Developer for our Minsk office to make the team even stronger.

EPAM E-Commerce Solution Practice is seeking a Lead Enterprise Java Developer experienced in SAP hybris platform. We are starting a number of huge projects based on it and need a person who will play Technical Lead role there.   • Project’s:
    • Implement distributed, high-loaded systems with massive back-office & 3rd party integrations based on hybris E-Commerce platform;
    • Supervise team’s technical solutions and approaches, check code quality, optimize and refactor the solutions to meet Technical Excellence and E-Commerce best practices;
    • Consult team members regarding platform capabilities and technical decisions to make;
    • Tune solution’s performance from UI to DB layer;
    • Play key role in investigating, troubleshooting and solving hot business issues on production & non-production environments;
    • Assist the Project Manager with project’s planning (investigate challenging tasks, prepare features breakdown, create/design PoC, provide estimates);
    • Mentor new project members, provide them with technical support;
    • Participate in onsite meetings, support complex systems roll-out to production onsite;
    • Run show-and-tell sessions with business users to demo E-Commerce Platform/Solution capabilities, prepare business users for user acceptance testing;
    • Create, present and maintain architectural documents and technical specifications.
  • Organizational:
    • Contribute to growth of Engineering Culture;
    • Participate as a speaker in E-Commerce Technical Talks, Miniq’s, conferences.


  • 8+ years of experience in Software Development;
  • 6+ years of extensive experience in J2EE;
  • Expert understanding of hybris 5.x and least one of widely used RDBMS (MS SQL, Oracle, My SQL);
  • A subject matter expert in integration with other E-Commerce ecosystem components including PIM, OMS, CRM, CMS, BI/Web analytics, Price/Payment/Loyalty Management Systems, Customer Center, Search Engines (Solr, Endeca);
  • Awareness of specifics of distributed high-loaded systems, experience in solving performance, stability and reliability issues;
  • Experience of delivering enterprise level solutions, at least 3 fully participated and successfully delivered projects;
  • Experience in integrations design and development;
  • Experience in working within cross-location teams;
  • Client facing and business trips experience;
  • Amazing communication skills;
  • English of B2 level (able to read, write, speak almost fluently);
  • Strong understanding of full lifecycle development process from requirements gathering to rollout;

  • Good analytical skills;

Nice to have

  • Good functional knowledge and deep understanding of E-Commerce Omni-channel Retailing;
  • Working knowledge of any commerce platforms comparable with hybris: such as Oracle Commerce / IBM Commerce / eBay Magento;
  • Experience in Oracle stack of middleware (WebLogic, Coherence) or similar;
  • Understanding of environment landscapes, sizing calculation, deployment mechanisms.
