DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Release Manager for our Prague office to make the team even stronger.

Tier 1 investment bank is seeking a Release Manager to assist Credit Risk IT projects. Primarily responsibility will be to manage system end-to-end release process of credit risk calculation and regulatory reporting system.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate UAT, DevOps, and Development teams to get release candidate through development pipeline;
  • Manage expectations and push people forward – proactively drive release process;
  • Prepare release documentation – release steps & disaster recovery plans;
  • Coordinate release communication, including generation of release progress reports to project management & stakeholders;
  • Coordinate release candidate acceptance including regression testing and business sign-off;
  • Manage release packages builds, configuration, and installation;
  • Coordinate with environment team to install / upgrade hardware;
  • Plan the future deployments & roll outs taking into account deliver roadmap and external/internal constraints;
  • Maintain & develop release related policies and procedures;
  • Enforce change management and change control process during release preparation;
  • Maintain knowledge base with release policies, know release issues & errors, and their workarounds;
  • Coordinate with DevOps team to improve CI/CD processes;
  • Perform knowledge sharing activities and trainings for support & development teams.

Requirements

  • System CI/CD technology stack (for candidate better awareness, experience with these or analogs is nice to have):
    • Git;
    • TeamCity + custom deployment portal;
    • NuGet / Nexus;
    • MSI / MSBuild;
    • PowerShell;
    • Python;
    • Jira, Confluence;
    • Team process is Agile / Scrum / SAF with bi-weekly release cycle.
  • System business domain (for candidate better awareness):
    • Financial services;
    • Investment banking;
    • Risk management & regulatory reporting.
  • System technologies stack (for candidate better awareness):
    • Database – SQL Server;
    • Back-end – C#;
    • Calculation logic – R;
    • Front-end – WPF/JS;
    • Orchestration – AutoSys;
    • Business intelligence – QlikView.
