Currently we are looking for a Lead Technical Writer for our Kyiv office to make the team even stronger.

Our customer is a big data company focused on premium video. Their comprehensive suite of offerings includes one of the world’s largest premium video platforms, a media logistics solution for video production workflows, and a holistic advertising platform for direct and programmatic trading.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a technical writing team;
  • Prepare and maintain technical, product documentation and user manuals in English;
  • Work closely with SA, Tech Leads and Team Leads to get an in-depth understanding of the product;
  • Maintain the project documentation portal.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a Technical Writer for API users;
  • At least 1 technical writing project completed;
  • Environment set-up:
    • Experience with source code control system (preferably Git);
    • Experience with a CMS system;
    • Experience creating Jira tickets and responding to Jira bug tickets.
  • Authoring:
    • Excellent written communication skills in English;
    • Minimal English level is Upper-Intermediate;
    • Experience working with documentation as part of a large documentation set with interdependencies;
    • Experience working with XML files; some understanding of DITA;
    • Experience planning and managing project milestones.
  • Product skills:
    • Experience creating API documentation;
    • Ability to create documentation structure and write a whole document.
  • Publishing skills:
    • Basic Linux or UNIX skills;
    • Experience running API documentation auto-generation tools like JSDocs, Doxygen, RAML, and Swagger.
  • Soft skills:
    • Expected to be self-managing, write documentation without supervision, review and edit his/her work thoroughly;
    • Sense of responsibility for the quality of the deliverables created by him/her;
    • Experience managing others as a team.
