DWBI Engineer with Hadoop expertise

Currently we are looking for a DWBI Engineer with Hadoop expertise for our Kyiv office to make the team even stronger.

The project is a real-time Data Warehouse for our client, one of the world’s leading travel companies, with an extensive brand portfolio that includes some of the world’s most trusted online travel brands. Company offers the most comprehensive selection of rentals for families and groups to find accommodations such as cabins, condominiums, castles, villas, barns and farmhouses.

We are working on a form of online advertising that provides end-users with relevant commercials along with the regular search results. Business team needs a clear view on advertising campaigns profitability, as well as to have a clear analysis of its dependence on time of the year aiming for the effective decisions to start or stop them depending on KPI's calculated. As a solution the Project Pipeline has been built ingesting data from the variety of search engines, normalizing it and calculating ration between amounts spend on specific commercials and transactions made through the respective campaign.

We are seeking an experienced DWBI Engineer to help the team in measuring publicity campaigns effectiveness.

  • On-premises:
    • Teradata 15.01;
    • Hadoop (Hortonworks 600+ nodes);
    • ETL Informatica (9.6 - planned upgrade for 10.2);
    • Stonebranch;
    • Python/Bash;
    • GitHub.
  • AWS Cloud:
    • Quobole;
    • EMR;
    • Jenkins.


  • Expertise in Hadoop (HIVE);
  • Proficiency in Teradata;
  • Strong SQL knowledge;
  • Proven practical experience in Data Warehouse;
  • Bash Shell scripting experience;
  • Familiarity with Python;
  • AWS or other similar Cloud experience.

Nice to have

  • MPP databases Teradata/IBM DB2;
  • Java (at least basic understanding);
  • CVS (GitHub) experience.
