Currently we are looking for a Demand Planner - Promotional Forecasting for our Katowice office to make the team even stronger.

ABOUT PROJECT


Under general supervision, create, deliver and execute an accurate forecast in support of event-based planning using statistical modelling methodologies. Ensure forecasts meets established goals for accuracy by monitoring consumer sales, marketing activity, and menu offerings. Much of the workload involves quantitative forecasting methods, but part of forecasting also includes qualitative inputs.

HAVI has made a strategic decision to establish a new operating center in Katowice, which will begin with the establishment of positions supporting its U.S. Supply Chain Planning Operations. This represents just one more step in continued efforts to strengthen its global presence to meet the ever-evolving needs of its leading global customers.

Responsibilities

  • Create US national and regional food promotion forecasts, along with accompanying materials;
  • Create US Premium toys and game label promotion forecasts, along with accompanying materials;
  • Develop and strengthen business relationships with other HAVI departments in Headquarters in US and in Ops Center in Katowice;
  • Support the US team in their account management responsibilities including but not limited to Food Service Client’s Business Intelligence organization;
  • Work with events supply planners on root cause analysis;
  • Be responsible for achieving agreed upon KPIs, measures and SLAs;
  • Perform analysis for spontaneous assignments such as post-promotion evaluations and halo/cannibalization assessments;
  • Communicate the event forecast output and the methodologies to US teams;
  • Communicate forecast to everyday category demand planners and Event Supply Planners in Katowice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Finance or similar);
  • Ability to manage and prioritize different tasks and effectively balance priorities;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English);
  • Relevant experience with promotional forecasting/predictive analytics preferred;
  • SQL/Tableau/Power BI preferred;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Demand planning and/or supply planning familiarity or training a plus;
  • Experience with a statistical software (SAS, R, SPSS) a plus;
  • Experience with JDA, SAP or another demand planning tool a plus;
  • Presentation & training skills;
  • Good grasp of risk assessment principals when considering client needs;
  • Problem-solving in an environment with high degree of ambiguity.
