DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for an Accountant for our Budapest office.

Responsibilities

  • Process all incoming invoices (invoice receipt and invoice verification): record, check and book invoices according to the local rules and company’s policies;
  • Book bank transactions, initiate bank transfers;
  • Handle company card transactions and employee reimbursements;
  • Execute ad-hoc activities given by management;
  • Execute and support closing activities (monthly, quarterly, year-end);
  • Analyze financial information and reconcile account balances;
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency;
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns;
  • Take in part internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • University or college degree in Business Administration or Finance related studies;
  • Intermediate level in English;
  • At least 2-3 years proven experience as an accountant;
  • Thorough knowledge of Hungarian accounting, practice in VAT is an advantage;
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process;
  • Hands-on experience with integrated accounting software (literacy in SAP is a plus);
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills;
  • Good team player and co-operative personality;
  • “Can do” attitude;
  • Distinct flexibility and capacity to work under pressure with regard to function and time.
